VR can aide assessment in several ways:

1. A video capture of the candidate’s time in the experience.

2. A telemetry system that records the success/failure based on the candidate’s response to each stage of an experience.

Mixed Reality (MR), or Hybrid Reality, is where virtual and real environments blend to build new environments and animations. Virtual and Real worlds coexist in Mixed Reality: users can experience real life objects in virtual experiences or they may see virtual animations in the real world. Please click here for more about our MR offerings for training and education.

VR technology can be used to recreate real-life scenarios that take place in a virtual world. Users can then experience the virtual world firsthand through a VR headset. This visual style of learning holds memory retention benefits. Experiences can be in the form of 360 videos, which RSG refers to as “Immersive VR”. Another type of VR that RSG calls “Interactive VR”, adds interactive capabilities to a VR experience. Users can interact with their surroundings by picking up objects, moving things, and performing tasks. Gamification makes it possible to test a candidate’s competency for a certain task/role. Both forms of VR provide an active form of learning that is otherwise not possible through the conventional PowerPoint style of education and training.

Real Serious Games have developed a set of golden rules in providing a design framework and product outcome framework to ensure that our experiences minimize the chances of VR sickness. In creating VR for businesses we always build for most people able to do the experiences and we provide alternative ways to access the content for those that do feel sick.

Some people may experience motion sickness during a VR experience. If you experience any motion sickness while in VR, please try the following:

  1. Please stop immediately and take off your headset.
  2. Sit down on the chair or the floor.
  3. Drink some water.

If you follow these steps, you should feel better in a few minutes.

Virtual Reality has a huge range of applications. Early applications of VR ranged from medical training to flight simulations. Recent technological advances have been driven largely by the games industry. There has also been a renewed interest in using VR for training and simulation purposes.

Extended Reality (XR) is an umbrella term that includes all extended reality technologies, such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality. Please click here for more about our XR training solutions.

Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology and head-mounted displays to create a lifelike and engaging virtual world. RSG provides two types of VR experience: immersive and interactive. Immersive VR allows the user to experience a film in a 360 degree headset, which provides trainers with an engaging addition to classroom learning. Interactive VR allows the user to interact with the virtual world, which has exciting implications for skills-based training and experiential learning. At RSG, we create world leading VR experiences for education and training. Please click here for more information.

Augmented Reality (AR) is the use of technology to overlay real time digital information (or images) onto an existing environment. The overlay could be information displayed anywhere in the environment, such as weather data or calendar events, or it could display information on specific objects in the real world. Imagine a model of a hospital, oil rig, or space station on a tabletop for the user to view and explore. Please click here for more about our offerings in XR for training and education.

My Potentia is a digitised adaptation of the Q Test, a well-established and respected psychological assessment instrument used widely across a range of industries.

Real time allows users to view and manipulate objects/environments at any point in time and immediately see the consequences of those changes.

4D is essentially 3D with the addition of time. 4D visualisation gives us the ability to view objects as they change across time. For example, we could view a construction project at any point in time or witness the outcome of a change at any time during the project.

RSG has built a state of the art “4D Planning tool” to help businesses plan and manage different phases of their construction projects. Please click here to learn more.

My Potentia can run on desktops and tablets.

Some headsets, like the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, allow sufficient room to view experiences with glasses.

Virtual Reality can be fully experienced by anyone who can see from both eyes. VR can also be used by anyone that can wear the headset, including people with disabilities. VR headsets contain two images on each side to create depth perception and mirror a 3D perception. Therefore, individuals who are blind in one eye or that suffer from stereoscopic blindness will only be able to see a flat, 2D image. Ambisonic sound allows the blind to participate in VR experiences.

A game engine is a software platform that provides developers/game creators the necessary tools and features to build a game. We are currently using the industry standard platforms Unity and Unreal Engine to provide the best work for our clients.

Real time is the actual time during which a process or an event occurs.

Depending on the type of experience, our XR products can be played on mobile headsets, such as Samsung Gear and Oculus Go, as well as room-scale platforms, such as the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
